xDDD
People are morons.
People are morons.
Darwin Awards wrote:
(January 2008, Pennsylvania) A 23-year-old man with various body piercings wondered what it would feel like to connect his workplace test equipment to his chest piercings. Several co-workers tried to convince him that it was a bad idea to wire himself up to the electronic control tester, but he ignored their pleas.
He proceeded to connect two alligator clips to his piercings and hit the test button...
When the police and rescue personnel arrived, his co-workers were stiill trying to revive him with CPR and rescue breathing. They were not successful.

Or my favorite story of all time:
That's what I call karma.
Or my favorite story of all time:
Darwin Awards wrote:
(November 2007, Russia) Late one night, Eduard entered the apartment of a 30-year-old handicapped man, who slept peacefully as Eduard quietly cleaned out the valuables. Eduard was preparing to leave when suddenly the man woke up.
"I couldn't believe my eyes! The dark shape of some goon was standing next to my nightstand!" recalls the burglary victim. "I cried out and he attacked me, who was defenseless, with his fists! I had no choice. I hit him between the legs with my crutch, and he leapt out the window. Thank God I live on the first floor, and he did not die from the fall.
"I didn't understand at first what had fallen out of his pants. When I looked closer, I realized that it was a testicle, a man's testicle! I put it in cold water, and rushed to the phone." The handicapped man dialed the emergency services several times, but "the doctors hung up on me when I told them I had ripped a burglar's balls off!"
Half an hour later, the blood-covered thief was found by a passerby, who called the police. "An unconscious man was lying on the sidewalk," said the police investigator. "When the medics revived him, he started screaming hysterically, 'Give me back my balls!'"
Eduard's genitals were so traumatized that doctors had to amputate the entire scrotum to prevent gangrene. In the hospital, the burglar filed a complaint against his victim. He said, "I will never forgive him!"
That's what I call karma.

Well, don't go robbing handicapped people then!
He got what he deserved.
It's rude to rob and attack the handicapped.

I would never rob handicapped people.
Nor any person, for that matter. x_x

Re: Turnabout Discussion/Debate
Yeah. XD
Though, there is really still doubts about that?
What do you think...?
I'm so certain it's real...at least it makes all the sense in the world...
Besides, ever saw the documentary "An Inconvinient Truth"? Its pretty...interesting. About this subject.

Re: Turnabout Discussion/Debate
No, there aren't doubts about it, but the debate was really interesting. And the person saying "it doesn't exist!" won in the end.
I think that it doesn't really matter either way because the truth is that we are using up our resources.
That documentary's by Al Gore right? I've never seen it, but I've heard of it.

Re: Turnabout Discussion/Debate
Well, I watched the documentary, it's very detailed and all...I liked it quite a lot, it explained well...
Well, we are using all of our resources, true...I mean, the planet's resources...we won't last long, now, will we?
Soon water will be lacking...that will bring some catasthopic consequences...

Re: Turnabout Discussion/Debate
I hate to think about when that will happen.
My old social studies teacher said that in Africa there are these two tribes that are both near a river and they fight over the water so if they run out it might turn into all-out war...
And the rest of the people in third-world countries without enough water, they'll start getting dehydrated and dying.

Re: Turnabout Discussion/Debate
Yeah, a full-scale war over water, that would be very severe... o.O
I don't like thinking about it either, but we have to.
Otherwise we would end up ignoring the problem, that's not how you solve a crisis...

Re: Turnabout Discussion/Debate
Yes very true. We have to be prepared.
We could start shipping water or purifiers for dirty water over to Africa now, but there's the recession going on.
Stupid money, it controls everything.

Re: Turnabout Discussion/Debate
Maybe when we are on the verge of extinction, maybe we will stop worrying about money and just use all we got to try and survive. But it may be too late when the time comes...
You know, what you said made me think...one could purify the ocean's water, right?
I heard that it's possible, but it also is an expensive process...you know anything about it?

Re: Turnabout Discussion/Debate
Not really but I read a book where the characters go up a mountain and blah blah book plot and they used some purifying system until their stuff was burned by fire creatures and after they used iodine tablets to purify water. I'm not sure if those actually exist though, but the book did take place in the present.

Re: Turnabout Discussion/Debate
Oh, that...is interesting. XD
May not be the exact same way, but it may be possible...
If we can extract a small portion of it and purify, it would greatly benefit every country...I guess they should be investing in researches to discover a good way to do that...or something.
