I do. But that's a part of the acting process.
I think it might just depend on the genre of the music.

I like trying to figure out what the lyrics mean, if they have a good message, then I like the song even more.

I also like the song "Love Song"
("I'm not gonna write you a love song, cause you ask for it, cause you need on, you see....")
It sounds like she's talking about a boyfriend but it was actully about her record company asking her to write "a love song"
......
So basicly she screwed the company but they didn't care cause they got a lot of money off it

I had to read the "Love Story" book once. But the teacher gave us such a simplified tiny synthesis of it that it made me sick. I didn't really like the story either...
