My Informational Video on Sound of the Day: This informational video of sound that you should all watch because it is really fascinating.
Some of it can get confusing if you don't have a basic understanding of music though.

Just to clarify some points, since she talks fast if you're interested:
Middle C is the note C closest to the center of the piano.
An octave is an interval of 8, and two notes an octave apart (i.e. C to a C, E to an E, etc.) sound the same, but one is higher and the other lower. (If that sounds confusing, then go find a piano and play two C's at once and you'll see what I mean; it'll sounds like a single note. She explains why this is in the video)
A=440 is a way of tuning instruments. It means that the A near the center of a piano has a frequency of 440 Hertz (or, the string vibrates 440 times per second when struck).
