The "I need help" Thread.

Hey peoples, this as the title says, you post when you need help with something.

Sooner or later, we have some sort of problem we just can't solve on our own, so why not have the opportunity to ask others? I'm talking about things like "How can I find this song?" or "How can I get back at my roommate for being a damn ass?" or "I can't do complicated, confusing math problem, someone explain it to me, please?"

Simple, normal, everyday life problems.

And no, at the moment, I don't need help with anything.

I have no friends, everybody hates me and I was crying in Double Science today. I feel really lonely.

How do I get friends?

Hm, I can´t help you with that one - I´m really bad at making friends..
I have a few though..

The easiest way is probably to find people who have the same interests as you, and talk to them.

Nintendosayan: Go to therapy....I'm not joking. I went to therapy like for 6 months or so and it has done wonders to me...and it's not like going to the shrink, it's much lighter than that, and you might just realize stuff about yourself you didn't even suspetc.

If you still don't feel like taking that measure, it's also a matter of contrast. it's not about you changing to match them, or they being equal to you...it's about you being PART of them. You can't expect to have the same tastes as everyone in the group, you are tyo be unique, but capable of adding something interesting to the group. However, having something in common or sometimes trying new stuff they like that you may have never tried before always helps (In fact, you may learn you like new things)

Although becoming close is all up to you, and the people who you hang out with


Rules
1. Don't judge.
It doesn't help to judge others, some people are not what they seem, you can't limit yourself if you really want friends
2. Don't be pessimistic
No one likes a Debby Downer. Be happy, not to the point of perky, just to the point of enjoyable to talk to
3. Check your attitude
If you are having a bad day, fine. Don't take it out on other people. Thats not enjoyable either
4. Be nice
Sounds simple, but it might not be. Try to limit your thoughts and just use simple small talk. "What did you do this weekend?" Or try to keep the conversation going. Don't put to many oppinions out their until you are sure the other person aggres. You might piss someone off.
5. Talk.
Just talk. Talk in class, talk in projects, raise your hand. Walk up to a table at lunch. Don't be affraid to get out there. Not everyone is that scary.
6. Don't expect the extremes.
The worst won't happen. You won't meet some crazy lunitic, and that will be the only person to talk to. On the other hand, you won't meet the perfect person; cool, smart; and pretty. Everyone has flaws.
7. Bring out the best in a person
Constantly insulting a person, or talking down to them won't get you any friends. You have to make them feel good about them selves. Even if you think it, get over it... and just move on.
8. Use a good opener.
If it really is your first time interacting, you need to grab peoples attention. Learn funny jokes, not just to you, jokes that relate to everyone. Not rase jokes, or inside jokes, or anything that someone would have to have previous knowledge, not anything like that. Something you saw on a popular TV show or something.

And the last and most important...

Put it into action.

It's your choise to take my adivse.

Thanks guys, you're right... but it's too late for me now. All the kids in my school (ALL the kids) are a bunch of mean gangsta kids who get pleasure in picking on everyone else (aka me)... I just can't relate to them

Also, everyone already hates me, and every time I say something or even steo near someone, they tell me to fuck off. They even hit me sometimes... There's nothing I can do to be honest, I'm just gonna have to sit there and take it the next two years

At least I've got you guys...

Ns...you seem to be in deep problems....I find it hard to believe that EVERYONE is that way....are you by any chance trying to fit into the "popular group"...because that is kinda hard if not impossible

Search well, there should be a almer group to join in. And don't commit the mistake of adding youself up as the clown group, you will regret it much later
