Yes, I've seen spiders like that. I often played at my grandma's backyard, and the house is very old, so I remember being attacked by spiders and scorpions (like the time one hid inside my shoe before I wore it, which was the most painful). BUT I don't remember they being such big spiders. These are the kind of spiders most likely to spawn at the South, or in Amazonia...

...Yeah, it wouldn't be so easy for someone that is afraid of them to survive here... in lowly-ranked houses, like my grandma's is. She still lived there until 2 years ago, when she pratically moved to our house. xD

Well, one has to deal with it, when the situation demands. I never died of poisoning until now... and it's not like they would attack you everyday. o-o
Depending on where you live, of course...but even so...

I only got scared after they attacked me the first time. But it was the only place with enough there for me to swing my toy swords...
