But it doesn't mean the resulting meaning will be better or worse than the originally intended...
Whoever decides this is the quotator, not the quotation, since he defines how the sentences for the quotation are presented. xD

The Devil's Dictionary is a book full of definitions that are parodies and political doublespeak, (doublespeak is a style of language that hides the real meaning of words used). It's making fun of words, good way or bad way is up to the reader, I guess.

It's also pretty old, so some definitions are no longer in touch with our world.
